Mountain Shadows offers a variety of activities for our residents. All activities are designed to provide safe enjoyment while providing opportunities for special interaction, in addition to supporting the residents with becoming active, visible members of their community. Each Mountain Shadows resident has the opportunity to participate in many varied activities. Some activities may include all the residents who live in a home, while other activities may be more individualized in nature. Mountain Shadows staff are trained to encourage participation and assist the resident as needed to allow for maximum enjoyment of the activity.
To support our residents in becoming active, visible members of their community, Mountain Shadows offers a wide variety of activities. A few of our activity programs include:
- Independent Outings Vacations
a. Examples: Disneyland, Las Vegas, Laughlin, Graceland, ETC… - Sit-Skiing at Big Bear
- Aquatics Camp
- Horseback Riding
- Special Olympics / Exceptional Athletes Tournaments
- Challenger Baseball
- Karaoke
- Dances and Socials
