Stacy Sullivan
Stacy Sullivan’s more than fifteen years of dedicated service to Mountain Shadows form an excellent foundation for her election to the Mountain Shadows Support Group (MSSG) Board of Directors.
As the Director of Operations for MSSG, Ms. Sullivan has been actively involved in spearheading the ongoing development of new programs, revamping facility program plans and operations, and implementing new staffing patterns and infrastructure. Her efforts have effected significant operational changes that have improved the quality of life throughout our Mountain Shadows Community.
A key member of the management team, Ms. Sullivan played a vital role in successfully guiding overall operations during all phases of a strategic merger. Her accomplishments during this venture, which included creating a new program design, restructuring staffing patterns and training plans, integrating information technology (IT) systems, and coordinating management team meetings to enhance communications, helped to facilitate a seamless transition into a single, streamlined organization through which we now offer a true continuum of services and supports to all of our residents.
In addition to her responsibilities at Mountain Shadows, Ms. Sullivan remains active in the industry serving as an instructor of the Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) Certification Program. As one of three select instructors, she presented a modified version of the QMRP Certification program to three state-operated Developmental Centers. She has presented certification information to hundreds of new and seasoned QMRPs in both northern and southern California.
Ms. Sullivan has served on the steering committee for the National Association of QMRPs and the QCHF curriculum committee for the ICF/MR Symposium for many years. She routinely interfaces directly with state licensing and governing bodies in order to maintain required licensure for all of our Mountain Shadows homes.
Ms. Sullivan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University. She is a certified QMRP in California and a Registered Recreation Therapist.
As a member of the Board, Ms. Sullivan’s broad-based insight into our industry and her intimate understanding of our daily operations will continue to aid MSSG in instituting organizational changes to improve operational efficiency and raise the quality of life for our residents.
